CrossFit Minnesota is home to the premier, original CrossFit facility in Minnesota.

Our head CrossFit Certified Trainer, Damian Hirtz, began his CrossFit traning is 2003 and introduced CrossFit to the state of Minnesota in 2007. Since our introduction of CrossFit to the Minneapolis/St. Paul area two years ago, we have seen a growth in not only our client base but life-changing testimonials from our clients ranging from: getting in shape for weddings, rehabilitation from injury, losing 50+ pounds and gaining elite fitness  to winning professional mixed martial arts championships, preparing for the NHL and MLB seasons to excelling at the highest level of military special forces.  The fun part is, all of these individuals worked out together in the same classes!  Our clients range from professional athletes, elite military and law enforcement personnel to corporate professionals, stay-at-home moms, students and people on the road back from an injury and everyone in between.

Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar. Keep intake of levels that will support exercise but not body fat. Practice and train major lifts: Deadlift, Clean, Squat, Presses, Clean & Jerk, and Snatch. Similarly, master the basics of gymnastics: pull-ups, dips, rope climb, push-ups, sit-ups, presses to handstand, pirouettes, flips, splits, and holds. Bike, run, swim, row, etc, hard and fast. Five or six days per week mix these elements in as many combinations and patterns as creativity will allow. Routine is the enemy. Keep workouts short and intense. regularly learn and play new sports.

Our specialty is not specializing. Combat, survival, many sports, and life reward this kind of fitness and, on average, punish the specialist.

The CrossFit program is designed for universal scalability making it the perfect application for any committed individual regardless of experience. We’ve used our same routines for elderly individuals with heart disease and cage fighters one month out from televised bouts. We scale load and intensity; we don’t change programs. The needs of Olympic athletes and our grandparents differ by degree not kind. Our terrorist hunters, skiers, mountain bike riders and housewives have found their best fitness from the same regimen.
